Zeppelin Rental Acquires Majority Stake in Constellation Baulogistik Amid Sector Growth

Zeppelin Rental has agreed to buy a majority stake in Constellation Baulogistik GmbH, a construction logistics specialist. The deal, currently awaiting antitrust approval, marks a significant move in the sector. The company has operated for two decades, supporting major construction and industrial projects across Germany.

Constellation Baulogistik GmbH was previously owned by financial investor Constellation Capital. Under this holding, it runs two business units: cpc baulogistik GmbH and GreenLean Baulogistik GmbH (GLB). The former has managed 60 to 70 projects annually for 20 years, while the latter launched in 2023 to provide planning, consulting, and digital solutions.

The firm serves a wide range of clients, including construction companies, industrial firms, public-sector contractors, and developers. Its services cover operational logistics, access control, waste management, and sustainability consulting. Nearly 100 employees work from offices in Berlin, Hamburg, Hannover, and Munich. Antitrust authorities are reviewing the acquisition, with a decision expected in May. Peter Schrader, head of Zeppelin's Strategic Rental Business Unit, highlighted the growing importance of construction logistics in the industry. The deal would integrate the company's expertise into Zeppelin Rental's broader operations.

If approved, the transaction will expand Zeppelin Rental's capabilities in construction logistics. The company's existing projects and client base would then operate under the new ownership. Final confirmation from regulators is due next month.
