Kazakhstan's Jetisu region launches 23 agri-investment projects by 2027

Jetisu, Kazakhstan’s youngest region, is set to launch 23 investment projects worth a total of 94 billion tenge between 2025 and 2027. These developments aim to strengthen its position as the country’s leading agricultural hub. Several major projects are already underway. The Aksu Sugar Plant is receiving a 25 billion tenge upgrade to increase its processing capacity to 450,000 tons of raw material. Nearby, the Koksu Sugar Plant is undergoing a 28 billion tenge modernisation, boosting its capacity to 500,000 tons.

Poultry production is also expanding in the region. Beles-Agro is building a new farm and meat processing facility in Koksu District with a 14 billion tenge investment. This site will produce 15,000 tons of poultry meat each year. Meanwhile, SSA Poultry Farm Central Asia is constructing a facility in Panfilov District, backed by 6 billion tenge, to produce 3,600 tons of finished products annually. The combined investment of 94 billion tenge will fund these and other initiatives across Jetisu. Once completed, the projects will significantly increase the region’s agricultural output and processing capabilities.
