Madhya Pradesh Unveils Rs 4,500 Crore Plan to Transform MSMEs and Create Jobs
The Madhya Pradesh government has announced major steps to boost industrial growth across the state. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently transferred over Rs 360 crore to 900 MSME units and other scheme beneficiaries in a single click. The move is part of a broader plan to strengthen the sector and create jobs for every youth in every district. The state currently hosts more than 24 lakh MSMEs, employing over one crore people. These small and medium enterprises are seen as the backbone of Madhya Pradesh’s economy. In the past year, over 1,000 plots were allocated to entrepreneurs to support business expansion.
The government now plans to establish one crore MSMEs by 2047. To achieve this, Rs 4,500 crore will be invested in the sector over the next two and a half years. Additionally, 44 new industrial regions and clusters are proposed, with 30 new clusters and 20 common facilities set to be developed within two years.
Madhya Pradesh also boasts a thriving start-up ecosystem, with over 7,400 start-ups, half of which are led by women. These initiatives aim to ensure industry in every district and provide employment opportunities for all youth. The government’s push includes financial support, new infrastructure, and expanded opportunities for entrepreneurs. With these measures, the state aims to solidify its industrial base and create sustainable employment. The focus remains on growth, innovation, and inclusive economic development.
