Orbital Expands to Miami to Strengthen US Payment Infrastructure
Orbital, a global payment orchestration platform, is expanding into the US market. The company has chosen Miami, Florida, as its base to support growing demand for regulated payment infrastructure. It currently processes around $12 billion annually across traditional currencies, stablecoins, and over 80 exotic currencies. The US expansion will focus on B2B payment providers, payment service providers, cross-border payment businesses, and companies in the crypto and digital asset ecosystem. Miami was selected for its role as a hub for cross-border flows, digital assets, and connections with Latin America.
Orbital holds strong compliance credentials, including SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001:2022, CSA Trusted Cloud Provider status, and Cyber Essentials Plus. The company will seek US regulatory approvals and money transmission licences as part of a phased entry. This follows the GENIUS Act, which established a federal framework for US payment stablecoins, boosting activity in stablecoin infrastructure.
International clients need better US connectivity, including onshore USD settlement and improved support for US-linked counterparties. Orbital plans to build the key foundations for its US presence within the next 12 to 18 months. The expansion aims to meet rising demand for secure, regulated payment infrastructure linking the US with global markets. Orbital will continue growing its international payment coverage while establishing its US operations. The company’s existing credentials and phased approach will support its entry into the market.
