New Chief Physician Faces Financial Crisis at Tukalinsk Hospital

Margarita Berezina took over as chief physician of Tukalinsk Central District Hospital in May 2025. The appointment came amid ongoing legal troubles for the institution, including charges against its former leader. In October 2025, legal proceedings began against the hospital’s predecessor. The individual faced allegations of abuse of office, with claimed damages of around 800,000 rubles. Further financial strain emerged in June 2026, when five lawsuits totalling over 2.26 million rubles were filed in the Omsk Oblast Arbitration Court.

On 22 June 2026, enforcement proceedings were launched against the hospital. The creditor, Interdistrict Tax Inspectorate No. 1 for Omsk Oblast, pursued a debt classified as a tax based on the negative balance of the Unified Tax Account. The claim exceeded 12.07 million rubles, far surpassing earlier enforcement cases from 2025–2026, which had involved sums under 100,000 rubles each. The hospital now faces significant financial pressure under its new leadership. Enforcement actions and lawsuits have added to the challenges inherited by Berezina. The total outstanding debt remains substantial, with legal and tax obligations still unresolved.
