Top Sub-Custodian Banks Honored in 24th Annual Global Awards
The winners of the 24th annual Best Sub-Custodian Bank Awards have been revealed. The awards cover seven regions and 83 countries, territories, and districts. They recognise institutions excelling in operational performance and client service. The selection process involved extensive market research, expert feedback, and submissions from banks. Performance was evaluated based on customer relations, service quality, pricing, and handling of exception items. Technology platforms, post-settlement operations, business continuity plans, and knowledge of local regulations also played a key role.
Input was gathered from users of sub-custody services, assessing performance from January to December 2025. The editorial board reviewed all data to identify the top performers in each market and region. Joseph Giarraputo, founder and editorial director, noted that sub-custodian banks face increasing pressure due to global investor activity and stricter regulations.
The winning institutions demonstrated operational excellence, deep market knowledge, technological innovation, and reliable asset servicing. Their achievements will be highlighted in the July/August print and digital editions, as well as on GFMag.com. The awards celebrate banks that deliver outstanding services in local and regional markets. The winners have met high standards across multiple criteria, proving their ability to support clients in a demanding environment. Their recognition reflects a commitment to quality and adaptability.
