Yakutia honours top entrepreneurs on Russia's Entrepreneurship Day 2024
Russia marked Entrepreneurship Day on 26 May with a series of awards and recognitions. The event celebrated contributions to business development in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Local officials and business leaders gathered to honour outstanding achievements in the sector. A festive meeting of the Coordination Council for Entrepreneurship took place in Yakutsk. Petr Nikiforov, head of the Entrepreneurship Development Department, attended the event. At the District Administration office, Deputy Mayor Vladimir Arzhakov congratulated local business owners for their efforts.
Several individuals received prestigious awards. Vladimir Arzhakov himself was awarded the Medal for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Development. Lyubov Bessonova, founder of the Center for Professional Qualifications 'Prof-Unit', received the same honour. Alexander Nikiforov, General Director of KopirTekhServis LLC, was presented with the First-Class Distinction Badge of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Russia.
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) supports a large business community. Nearly 137,000 people work in small and medium-sized enterprises across the region. Entrepreneurship Day was established by presidential decree in 2007. The annual celebration highlights the role of business in the region’s economy. This year’s awards recognised both individual contributions and the broader impact of local enterprises.
