ING names Aled Patchett as UK Head of Sectors to drive growth
ING has appointed Aled Patchett as its new Head of Sectors UK. He will take charge of the bank’s sector teams and focus on expanding client relationships in the country. The move aims to strengthen ING’s presence in key industries such as Energy, Infrastructure, and Real Estate. Patchett joins ING from Lloyds Bank, where he spent nearly 20 years in senior positions. Most recently, he led specialist sales for transaction banking solutions there. His new role will involve overseeing client coverage and commercial activity across the UK.
The bank wants to improve cross-product solutions in areas like lending, capital markets, and advisory services. Alexandra MacMahon, ING’s UK Country Manager, noted that clients focus on outcomes rather than individual product lines. Patchett has stated that ING already has a strong foundation in the UK and that he is eager to work with the team to drive further growth. Patchett will lead efforts to deepen client coverage and boost cross-product growth in the UK. His appointment reflects ING’s commitment to strengthening its sector-specific services. The bank expects his experience to help deliver tailored solutions for its clients.
