Isle of Man artist Kim Graziano thrives after career change at Christmas markets
Local artist Kim Graziano has been showcasing her work at Christmas markets across the Isle of Man this year. Her participation in five events has helped grow her business, Kim Gee Studio, after a recent career change. The markets themselves also offered distinct experiences for visitors and crafters alike. Graziano launched her Isle of Man Astrology collection in 2025, featuring greeting cards and a 2026 calendar. The calendar includes astrological dates alongside local events like Chips, Cheese and Gravy Day. Sales of the calendar have steadily risen with each market she attended.
Her live watercolour speed portraits proved popular at every venue. Different products performed best in different locations: enamel pins sold well in Ramsey, while landscape greeting cards were a hit in Peel. Meanwhile, the Ramsey and Laxey markets hosted more crafters, whereas Peel’s Christmas Hygge market was more selective, focusing on artists.
After being made redundant from her full-time job, Graziano now dedicates herself entirely to Kim Gee Studio. She has used the markets to connect with both loyal and new customers, strengthening her presence in the community. Graziano plans to expand her Astrology range in 2026, adding tea towels, ceramics, and other items. Her growing success at local markets highlights the demand for her work. The artist continues to build her brand through direct engagement with the Isle of Man’s creative scene.
