Russia allocates 14 billion rubles for new Children's Hospital Complex in Khabarovsk Krai

The Russian federal budget has allocated over 4 billion rubles for the construction of the Children’s Hospital Complex. The project will also receive 9.9 billion rubles from the Khabarovsk Krai budget after recent amendments. Work is set to begin soon under a selected contractor. In May, the Khabarovsk Krai Legislative Duma approved the budget changes. The funds will support the Krai Ministry of Construction in completing the complex. Tiazhpromexport Foreign Economic Association (JSC) was chosen as the contractor, with work scheduled to start in April.

The project will be built in stages, with a deadline of the end of 2029. The first phase includes a children’s outpatient clinic covering 11,400 square metres. It will serve up to 500 patients per shift. The second phase adds a medical treatment building and a pediatric consultation centre, totalling over 33,100 square metres.

The complex will feature between three and five floors. It will also include a heated parking area for six vehicles. The contract value was set at 7.3 billion rubles. For each missed deadline, the contractor may claim 5,000 rubles in compensation. A portion of the federal funds will specifically support the completion of the Children’s Hospital Complex in Komsomolsk-on-Amur. The project aims to expand healthcare facilities for children in the region. Construction is expected to finish by the end of 2029.
