Madhya Pradesh Empowers SC-ST Entrepreneurs with Business Growth Programme

An SC-ST Entrepreneurship Awareness and Special Vendor Development Programme took place in Sendhwa, Madhya Pradesh. The event was designed to boost business opportunities for marginalised communities. It was jointly organised by the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the National SC-ST Hub under the Union Ministry of MSME. The programme focused on educating participants about various support systems available to them. Experts covered topics such as MSME schemes, vendor registration, and the Government e-Marketplace (GeM). They also explained bank finance options, certification requirements, and procurement opportunities with public sector undertakings.

DICCI Madhya Pradesh President Dr Anil Sirvaiya spoke at the event. He highlighted the progress of tribal entrepreneurship in Barwani district. He also urged attendees to make use of government schemes for financial support and to collaborate in strengthening their businesses.

The Madhya Pradesh government offers subsidies of up to 48% for eligible SC-ST entrepreneurs. The initiative aimed to increase their involvement in government and industrial supply chains. The programme provided practical guidance on accessing business resources. It sought to empower SC-ST entrepreneurs by connecting them with schemes and opportunities. The organisers aimed to foster long-term growth for these communities in the region.
