Veterans Turn Entrepreneurs After Intensive Business Training in Komi Republic

The A Strong Cause educational program has wrapped up in the Komi Republic. It was designed to build entrepreneurial skills among veterans of the special military operation and their families. The initiative saw 27 local residents take part in intensive training and mentorship. Over three weeks, participants studied marketing, business planning, and the use of AI in commerce. They also received one-on-one guidance from business experts. Each graduate left with a certificate and tailored advice for their projects.

Several participants have already launched or expanded their ventures. Vyacheslav Zyryanov, a veteran forced to retire due to injury, started an online retail business. His initial investment of 100,000 rubles has grown into a monthly turnover exceeding one million. Denis Nikulin opened Inta’s first crossfit club, the Kepler Sports Club.

Others secured practical support for their ideas. Alexey Terentyev, based in Sosnogorsk, was offered a dedicated workspace in Ukhta for his online leather goods business. Maria Terentyeva introduced her Healthy Foot Care Studio, providing mobile in-home care for seniors, disabled individuals, and veterans. The program has equipped participants with both skills and resources to pursue their business goals. Many are already seeing tangible results in their new or growing enterprises. The initiative marks a step toward economic independence for veterans and their families in the region.
