NGCP slashes June 2026 transmission rates for Filipino consumers
The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced a reduction in transmission rates for end consumers in June 2026. The company also reported decreases in several key charges for May 2026. In May 2026, transmission wheeling rates fell by 6.99% to PhP0.5607 per kilowatt-hour. Ancillary services rates also dropped by 10.73% to PhP0.7220 per kWh. The overall average transmission rate declined by 9.33% to PhP1.4492 per kWh.
For June 2026, NGCP charges 56 centavos per kWh for its core service of delivering electricity. The company’s revenues remain subject to a revenue cap and regulation by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). The reductions in transmission and ancillary service rates reflect lower costs for end users. NGCP continues to operate under ERC oversight, ensuring regulated pricing. Consumers will see the adjusted rates in their June bills.
