From Truck Spoilers to Industrial Giant: The Rise of HS-Schoch GmbH

Hermann Schoch began his business career in 1978 by selling truck spoilers. His entrepreneurial journey later expanded into a well-established company known for its diverse industrial services. His wife, Gerlinde, supported him from the very start. In 1980, Schoch took over a business in Ostalbkreis that specialised in distributing construction machinery parts and repairs. The company initially focused on producing, servicing, and distributing excavator buckets and grapples. By 1985, the business was restructured and renamed HS-Schoch GmbH, with its own headquarters and an expanded focus on truck accessories.

In 1996, the company began manufacturing pallet collars and added sheet metal processing to its portfolio. Five years later, in 2001, it introduced surface coating services. HS-Schoch also set up an additional site in Cobbelsdorf, Saxony-Anhalt, dedicated to construction machinery.

Schoch, a trained structural metalworker, had built his expertise in metalworking, excavator bucket manufacturing, and customer relationship management before founding the firm. HS-Schoch GmbH grew from a small venture into a multi-service industrial business. Its expansion included new sites, additional services, and a broader range of products. The company’s development reflects Schoch’s technical skills and entrepreneurial drive.
