Veterans in Komi gain business skills through A Strong Cause training

Twenty-six participants from across the Republic of Komi have completed the A Strong Cause training program. The initiative aims to provide veterans of the special military operation and their families with essential business skills. Rostislav Goldstein, head of the region, oversees the project as part of a broader national effort. The program ran online from 27 October to 14 November. Its curriculum was designed by specialists from the Ministry of Economic Development, Industry, and Transport of the Republic of Komi, along with the Center for Entrepreneurship Development.

Participants received guidance on evaluating market demand for their business ideas. Speakers included experienced entrepreneurs, business experts, and representatives from the Federal Tax Service. Local success stories were also shared to inspire and motivate attendees.

A Strong Cause was launched under the national project An Effective and Competitive Economy. It serves as a key tool for the employment and reintegration of special military operation veterans into civilian life. The training equipped participants with practical skills to start or develop their own businesses. It also strengthened their ability to navigate challenges in the commercial sector. The program’s completion marks a step in supporting veterans and their families in the Republic of Komi.
