Karaganda's local entrepreneurs shine at One Village, One Product exhibition

The One Village, One Product exhibition in Karaganda Region recently displayed the work of over 50 local entrepreneurs. Their products were all made from raw materials sourced in the area. The initiative has grown steadily since its launch three years ago, involving more than 100 entrepreneurs in the region. Among the participants was Zhanur Toleubayeva, the founder of the Kyzylarai brand. She specialises in traditional felt rugs, woven textiles, and wool clothing, with orders coming from across Kazakhstan and international markets. She now plans to open a wool-processing workshop in her home village to expand production.

Another entrepreneur, Saiyran Dusembayev, showcased his locally made mozzarella and suluguni cheeses. He uses modern techniques and milk sourced from the region to produce his dairy products.

The event also celebrated success, with ten entrepreneurs named as winners. Six of them received state grants to help grow their businesses further. The exhibition highlighted the initiative’s impact on local business growth. Entrepreneurs like Toleubayeva and Dusembayev continue to expand their operations, supported by regional and state backing. The programme’s reach has grown significantly since its introduction.
