New industrial zone launches to boost local manufacturing and jobs

The region has launched its first small industrial zone following a directive from the Head of State. The initiative aims to support local manufacturing and strengthen small and medium-sized businesses. It is located within the Taraz Industrial Zone and offers ready-made facilities to entrepreneurs. Construction of the project began in September last year. The complex includes four production buildings spanning a total of 10,000 square meters. By the third quarter of this year, businesses on-site had achieved stable production cycles.

The project was initiated by I Cons LLP and carried out with support from the Taraz Social Entrepreneurship Corporation and the Industrial Development Fund. The total investment reached 1.4 billion tenge. The zone has already created around 100 new jobs.

Enterprises operating in the zone produce tempered glass, fibre cement panels, and doors. The fibre cement panel workshop has an annual capacity of 140,000 square meters. The door production line can manufacture up to 50,000 units per year. The new industrial zone provides immediate infrastructure for businesses. It has already boosted local employment and expanded manufacturing capabilities. The project marks a significant step in the region’s industrial development.
