Hankook Expands Fleet Business in Germany with Sustainable Tire Solutions

Hankook is expanding its fleet business in Germany to better serve commercial vehicle customers. The company offers eco-friendly solutions, including retreaded tires, to meet the specific needs of fleet operators. A key focus is on sustainability and cost efficiency for its clients. Hankook’s commercial vehicle tire business in Germany and Europe is led by Manfred Zoni, Director of Sales and Head of Truck and Bus Tires. He aims to strengthen the company’s presence in the region. Since February 2023, Joachim Kühr has supported the fleet business as a Key Account Fleet specialist, working alongside Robert Luck as the main contacts for major truck fleet customers.

The company provides tailored solutions for fleets, such as Hankook Alphatread retreaded tires. These deliver the same mileage as new tires but at a lower cost and with a reduced environmental footprint. Hankook also offers a Europe-wide 24/7 roadside assistance service, Road Assist 24h, to support fleet customers.

To further boost production, Hankook’s Rácalmás plant in Hungary, established in 2007, is undergoing expansion. The latest phase will increase its annual capacity to 800,000 truck and bus tires. The plant is a key part of Hankook’s strategy to supply high-quality, modern tires to the European market. Hankook’s fleet services include developing custom requirements profiles and recycling concepts for end-of-life tires. The expansion of its production and service offerings is set to enhance support for fleet operators. The company continues to focus on delivering efficient, sustainable solutions for its commercial customers.
