Tucker Carlson's new gold venture takes on shady precious metals firms
Tucker Carlson has launched a new precious metals company after leaving Fox News. The venture, called Battalion Metals, was co-founded with North Dakota-based gold dealer Christopher Olson. Carlson aims to offer a more transparent alternative to existing gold investment firms. Carlson departed Fox News in 2023 following his dismissal. Soon after, he received lucrative offers from gold companies, some proposing up to $20 million annually to promote their products. He later discovered that many of these firms sold overpriced metals to unsuspecting buyers.
In response, he co-founded Battalion Metals to provide a fairer service. The company sells gold, silver, platinum, and palladium for home storage or secure storage in its 'Battalion Bunker'. It also offers a 'precious metals IRA', allowing customers to include physical metals in retirement portfolios as a hedge against inflation or economic instability.
Carlson has publicly criticised the US dollar, calling it 'doomed' and warning of 'the end of the postwar order'. His company positions itself as a trustworthy option for those seeking to diversify their assets. Battalion Metals now operates as a competitor in the precious metals market. Its products include storage solutions and retirement account options. The company distinguishes itself by promising not to exploit customers with excessive markups.
