Bamboo and Centiglobe team up to revolutionize Latin America's cross-border payments
Bamboo and Centiglobe have announced a strategic partnership to streamline cross-border payments in Latin America. The collaboration aims to simplify business and consumer transactions across the region. The partnership allows Centiglobe’s network members to use Bamboo’s local banking and payment systems without setting up multiple local operations. This removes the need for complex integrations and supports compliant fund distribution in the region.
By combining Centiglobe’s global payment infrastructure with Bamboo’s local execution, the two companies enable faster payouts. Settlement times are now typically within the same day or the next.
Gregory Cornwell, Chief of Revenue at Bamboo, stated that the deal reduces the challenges of operating and expanding in Latin America. Petter Sandgren, CEO of Centiglobe, added that it broadens access to the region while improving capital efficiency and payment predictability.
Financial institutions and global payment service providers benefit from direct access to Latin America. Other advantages include reduced complexity, transparency, compliance, a tokenised bank deposit model, and regulatory-aligned infrastructure. Centiglobe can also expand its network reach throughout the region through this collaboration. The partnership strengthens Bamboo’s role as a key infrastructure provider for global firms entering Latin America. It also enhances Centiglobe’s ability to offer efficient and predictable cross-border payment solutions.
