Eiffel Raises $585M for Impact Private Credit Fund

Eiffel's €1B Impact Debt Fund Ties Loans to ESG Performance

Eiffel Investment Group has launched its latest impact private credit fund, Eiffel Impact Debt III. The fund has already secured over €500 million at its first close from institutional investors. It aims to reach a final size of €1 billion, targeting European mid-sized companies with senior debt financing. The fund focuses on three key impact areas: reducing temperature alignment, preserving ecosystems, and promoting diversity. Each financing will include Impact Covenants®, which tie loan terms to agreed environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives. This approach gives the commitments contractual weight.

Eiffel Impact Debt III has already completed its first three investments, all featuring Impact Covenants®. The fund projects a three-year weighted average internal rate of return (IRR) of 9.0%, based on current market conditions. It has also identified an investment pipeline worth about €400 million, with over half of the opportunities located outside France.

Fabrice Dumonteil, Chairman of Eiffel Investment Group, stated that the fund combines financial discipline with measurable impact. He believes this approach will enhance company performance while delivering on ESG goals. The fund intends to provide financing to 40 to 50 European mid-sized companies. Its use of Impact Covenants® ensures that ESG targets remain central to each deal. The projected returns and strong investor support highlight its potential in the impact investing space.
