Yakutia Trade Unions Learn Financial Best Practices in Key Seminar
Today, an online seminar for trade union activists from municipal districts across Yakutia was held on the topic "Financial Management in Trade Union Organizations." The speaker was Maria Tomskaya, head of the financial and audit department and chief accountant of the Federation of Trade Unions.
During the training, participants learned about financial operations within trade union organizations. Maria Semyonovna provided a detailed overview of key issues, including mandatory accounting requirements for income and expenses under the Federal Law "On Accounting"; proper documentation for organizing events; reporting on the use of union membership dues, supporting documents, and deadlines for submitting reports to regulatory authorities for primary trade union organizations with legal entity status, among other topics.
Special emphasis was placed on the targeted use of union membership fees and oversight of financial discipline. Participants received practical recommendations on record-keeping, preparing annual financial statements, and answers to their pressing questions.
"Transparency in financial flows, sound planning, and rigorous reporting are the foundation of trust between union members and their organization. Our goal is to help local trade union activists establish an effective financial management system that complies with the law and statutory requirements," noted Maria Tomskaya.
