Yakutia's Digital Healthcare Project Transforms Patient Access and Oversight

A digital healthcare project called ZdravControl has been running in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) since March 2023. The initiative aims to improve patient satisfaction by addressing complaints and streamlining access to medical services through online chat support. The project was developed through a partnership between the republic’s Ministry of Health and the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation. It focuses on resolving issues citizens encounter when seeking healthcare, while also ensuring public oversight of medical institutions.

Residents across Yakutia’s districts can now report problems or request assistance via the *Sakha.Health* chat link. Those living in the capital, Yakutsk, have a dedicated platform called *Yakutsk.Health*. Since its launch, the service has handled over 5,000 complaints related to healthcare access, helping patients navigate institutional barriers. Beyond complaint resolution, *ZdravControl* strengthens patient rights and encourages transparency. By using digital tools, the system monitors service quality and ensures accountability within local medical facilities.

The project has already processed thousands of citizen concerns, demonstrating its role in improving healthcare accessibility. With dedicated chat services for both regional and urban residents, ZdravControl continues to expand as a key digital solution for public health oversight in Yakutia.
