Wundrsight Secures $400K to Revolutionize VR Mental Health Therapy

Wundrsight, a digital therapeutics startup specialising in VR and AI-based mental healthcare, has secured $400,000 in seed funding. The investment round was led by Inflection Point Ventures, with contributions from Social Alpha and several angel investors. The company plans to expand its reach in India and explore opportunities in the US market. Founded in 2022 by Raunak Swarnkar and Nishtha Budhiraja, Wundrsight focuses on delivering accessible and personalised mental health treatment through immersive VR technology. Swarnkar, the CEO, brings over five years of expertise in AI, neuroscience, and medical devices. Budhiraja, a psychologist with more than a decade of clinical experience, complements the team’s technical and therapeutic knowledge.

The startup will use the new funding to strengthen partnerships with hospitals and clinics across India. It also aims to speed up the development of its VR-based therapy solutions. With the US market already adopting CPT codes for VR therapy reimbursements, Wundrsight sees an opportunity to expand internationally.

India’s mental health sector is growing rapidly, with projections estimating a market value of around $62.86 billion by 2032. The industry is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate of 28.16%, reflecting increasing demand for innovative mental healthcare solutions. The $400,000 investment will help Wundrsight scale its operations and refine its technology. By targeting both Indian and US markets, the startup aims to make VR-based mental health therapy more widely available. The funding also supports its goal of forming stronger ties with healthcare providers.
