VR-Bank NordRhöhn eG celebrates growth and elects new board members
VR-Bank NordRhöhn eG held its 165th General Representatives’ Meeting on Tuesday in Hünfeld. Around 300 guests gathered, including delegates, employees, and partners from neighbouring cooperatives. The event marked another year of growth for the regional bank. The meeting began with a review of the bank’s performance in 2025. Lending and deposits, its core business, saw strong expansion, while the balance sheet total rose by €67 million—a 4.3% increase. Membership also grew, with 360 new members bringing the total to 22,563.
Delegates voted on key changes during the session. The articles of association and electoral regulations were updated and approved. Elections for the supervisory board followed, with Rudolf Engel, Frank Wiegand, Thomas Ziegler, and Silvio Lieber either re-elected or newly appointed. Both the Executive and Supervisory Boards were formally discharged from liability. The bank also highlighted its push to modernise. A stronger social media presence now includes Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This aligns with its goal of being seen as a forward-thinking, accessible bank for the region.
The meeting wrapped up with the bank reaffirming its focus on serving local communities. Membership and financial growth were key achievements for 2025. The newly elected board members will now help guide its strategy moving forward.
