Veterans in Yakutsk gain entrepreneurial skills through My Own Business program

A federal educational program called My Own Business took place in Yakutsk from November 10 to 14. It aimed to support veterans of the special military operation and their family members in starting their own businesses. The initiative was jointly organised by the Yakutia regional branch of OPORA RUSSIA and the local branch of United Russia. The program was intensive and practice-focused, covering key aspects of entrepreneurship over five days. Topics included business model development and legal fundamentals. Participants also visited successful businesses led by OPORA RUSSIA members to gain practical insights and ask questions.

Afanasy Kipriyanov hosted a tour of Rectime LLC, while Georgy Karamazin welcomed attendees at the Utum+ PSF LLC office. Sardana Pavlova, chair of the Yakutia branch of OPORA RUSSIA, emphasised that supporting veterans is both a responsibility and a duty. She added that the knowledge and initial opportunities provided would help veterans adapt to civilian life and succeed as entrepreneurs.

The program resulted from collaboration between OPORA RUSSIA, United Russia, the Defenders of the Fatherland fund, and My Business. It was held at the State Support Fund for Participants in the Special Military Operation, Defenders of the Fatherland. The My Own Business program offered veterans and their families practical tools to launch their own ventures. It highlighted the importance of social partnerships in creating opportunities for those transitioning from military service. The initiative also demonstrated how targeted support can address the needs of this group effectively.
