Travelex opens new New Plymouth store with TSB Bank travel money discounts
Travelex, New Zealand’s top foreign exchange provider, is expanding its services with a new store in New Plymouth. The branch will open at House of Travel on 12 May 2026. Alongside this, the company has also launched a partnership with TSB Bank to offer customers better travel money deals. The new Travelex store in New Plymouth adds to its existing network across the country. Key locations already include Nelson, Hamilton, Wellington, Auckland, Dunedin, and airports in Christchurch and Queenstown.
Under the new partnership, TSB customers can now buy foreign currency at discounted rates. These deals apply to both cash and currency loaded onto Travelex’s pre-paid Money Card (TMC). Over 50 currencies are available in cash, while nine can be loaded onto the card. To access the discounts, customers must show a valid TSB card or bank statement. The offer is available through TSB’s website or in-store at Travelex branches. The company aims to make foreign exchange more accessible, particularly for regional customers who may face limited options.
The partnership between Travelex and TSB Bank gives customers lower rates on travel money. With the new New Plymouth store opening in 2026, the company continues to expand its reach. Discounted rates will cover both cash and pre-paid card transactions for TSB account holders.
