Trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria: Faster Delivery - Self-Checkin for Drivers

Trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria upgrades logistics with smarter dispatch tech

Trans-o-flex ThermoMed Austria (TMA) has rolled out new in-house logistics solutions across its four Austrian branches. The upgrade includes advanced dispatch software and a streamlined check-in system for drivers. These changes aim to speed up operations and improve delivery planning. The centrepiece of the update is a new dispatch programme that calculates the most efficient routes for delivery vehicles. It considers predefined factors like traffic, distance, and delivery priorities. Dispatchers can also tweak routes manually if needed.

Another key feature is the real-time calculation of estimated delivery times. Recipients now receive accurate updates on when to expect their shipments. This replaces older systems where time windows were less precise. Drivers benefit from a self-check-in module in the transshipment hall. Instead of waiting for manual processing, they scan a QR code to confirm their arrival and verify their route. The process is now significantly faster. The same software has already been adopted by Trans-o-flex Express, TMA’s German counterpart. By aligning IT systems across both companies, the group ensures uniform quality standards. It also cuts costs by sharing software development resources.

The new solutions bring faster route planning, real-time delivery updates, and quicker driver check-ins. TMA’s alignment with its German sister company also strengthens operational consistency. The changes are expected to improve efficiency across the board.
