Top Monthly Dividend Stocks Offer Steady Income for Investors

Monthly dividend payments are becoming more popular among income investors. While most companies distribute dividends quarterly, over 80 stocks now offer payouts every month. These include real estate investment trusts (REITs) and business development companies (BDCs), which often provide steady cash flow to shareholders.

Realty Income (O) is one of the most well-known monthly dividend payers. The company owns more than 15,500 commercial properties, including retail and industrial buildings. Its portfolio spans over 90 industries, with space rented to over 1,600 tenants. Currently, the REIT boasts a 98.7% occupancy rate and has paid a monthly dividend of $0.27 per share. This marks the 667th consecutive monthly payout and the 32nd straight year of dividend increases. Shareholders receive an annual total of $3.24 per share, delivering a 5.07% yield.

Phillips Edison & Company (PECO) is another REIT that specialises in grocery-anchored shopping centres. The firm maintains a high occupancy rate of 97.3% and has raised its dividend every year since going public four years ago. Investors currently earn $0.11 per share each month, with an annual yield of 3.42%.

Main Street Capital (MAIN) stands out among business development companies. It provides debt and equity solutions to smaller businesses and has increased its annual dividend for 18 consecutive years. The BDC pays $0.26 per share monthly, offering a strong yield of 6.96%.

Monthly dividend stocks like Realty Income, Phillips Edison, and Main Street Capital provide regular income for investors. These companies operate in sectors that generate consistent cash flow, supporting reliable payouts. Their long track records of dividend growth also make them attractive for long-term income strategies.
