Since launching in 2010, TEF has already supported over 2.5 million entrepreneurs across the Africa map.

The programme offers 12 weeks of structured business training through TEFConnect, the foundation's digital platform. Successful applicants also receive US$5,000 in non-refundable seed capital to kickstart or expand their my business ventures. So far, TEF has distributed over $100 million to more than 24,000 entrepreneurs in all 54 African countries.

Participants gain access to a vast network of mentors, including top business leaders and industry experts. They also join a community of over 24,000 TEF alumni, fostering collaboration and growth. The foundation's support has already helped lift 2.1 million people out of poverty, with 45% of beneficiaries being African women.

Past entrepreneurs in the programme have collectively generated $4.2 billion in revenue and created over 1.5 million jobs. The 2026 cohort will build on this legacy, receiving both financial backing and long-term business guidance.
