Temenos acquires additiv to revolutionize wealth management tech

Temenos has announced plans to buy Zurich-based fintech firm additiv. The deal aims to strengthen its wealth management technology offerings. Both companies expect the move to accelerate digital services for banks and wealth managers worldwide. Additiv specialises in software that merges workflows and data into a single layer. This allows financial institutions to launch mass affluent wealth services faster than before. Its platform cuts the usual 12-month setup time to just three to six months.

The company employs around 200 people across 10 global offices. It currently serves 30 clients in wealth management, banking, and insurance. Temenos plans to integrate additiv’s technology into its own banking platform, focusing on automation. AI capabilities from additiv will help streamline complex processes like client onboarding and loan origination. Temenos also sees potential in cross-selling investment services to its existing clients. The acquisition aligns with rising demand for scalable, hybrid wealth models. After the deal, additiv will keep its name and brand. It will continue supporting current clients while expanding into new markets, including the US. Michael Stemmle, the company’s founder, confirmed these plans.

The acquisition will embed additiv’s orchestration layer into Temenos’ systems. This is expected to enhance the delivery of personalised, compliant wealth services. Financial institutions using the combined platform could see faster deployment and broader service options.
