Stuttgart's Kleinblatt GmbH Wins DEHOGA CUP with Sustainable Food Vision
A Stuttgart-based start-up has won a key regional contest in Baden-Württemberg's annual pitch competition. Kleinblatt GmbH, which specialises in microgreens and gourmet mushrooms, took first place at the DEHOGA CUP on 11 February 2026. The victory secures their spot in the upcoming state finals of the Start-up BW Elevator Pitch 2025/26 edition.
The Start-up BW Elevator Pitch competition searches for the region's most innovative business ideas and ambitious founders. Since its launch in 2013, the contest has given start-ups just a few minutes to present their concepts to a jury and audience. Regional qualifying rounds, called 'Cups', act as preliminaries for the state finals.
By 12 February 2026, eight regional heats had taken place across Baden-Württemberg. At the DEHOGA CUP, ten teams competed for prize money from L-Bank and training vouchers from the DEHOGA Academy. All participants received support, but Kleinblatt GmbH stood out with their sustainable food concept.
To qualify for the competition, entrants must be at least 18 years old and based in Baden-Württemberg. Their business idea must be under five years in development and not previously submitted. The platform helps young companies gain early feedback and build professional networks.
Dr. Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister for Economic Affairs, Labor, and Tourism, congratulated Kleinblatt GmbH after their win. She highlighted how the competition showcases the creativity and entrepreneurial drive thriving in the region.
Kleinblatt GmbH will now prepare for the state finals, where they will face other regional winners. The contest continues to support new businesses by offering exposure, funding, and expert guidance. The next stage will determine which start-up takes the top honour in Baden-Württemberg this year.
