Silverflow Raises $40M to Fuel Global Expansion in Online Payments
Silverflow, a cloud-based payment processing firm, has secured $40 million (€37 million) in its latest funding round. The Series B investment will push the company's global growth and product development as it nears one billion transactions processed each year.
The funding was led by Picus Capital, with contributions from Rabo Investments and earlier backers. Florian Reichert of Picus Capital highlighted the firm's rapid growth and strong customer demand. Floris Onvlee from Rabo Investments also voiced support, calling Silverflow a leading European player in global expansion.
Silverflow's transaction volume has surged in recent years. From around 180 daily transactions two and a half years ago, it now handles nearly 1.75 million per day. CEO Anne Willem De Vries stated that the investment confirms the market's shift away from legacy payment systems.
The company plans to use the funds to expand in North America and Southeast Asia, two regions with significant online payments activity. It will also grow its workforce from 85 to roughly 120 employees, focusing on software engineering and product teams. No further regions beyond these have been identified for expansion at this stage.
The $40 million injection will help Silverflow strengthen its position in online payment processing. Workforce expansion and product upgrades are set to follow, supporting its push into new markets. The company's transaction growth reflects its rising role in the industry.
