Accounts Frozen for Omsk Businessman Holding Two School Renovation Contracts
As reported by SuperOmsk, as of Wednesday, April 1, 2026, transactions on the accounts of Sibirskiye Stroitelnye Materialy LLC (Siberian Building Materials) have been suspended due to a negative balance exceeding 22.62 million rubles ($245,000). According to the company's response to a SuperOmsk inquiry, the measure was imposed following a court decision to recover outstanding debts.
Founded in 2009, Sibirskiye Stroitelnye Materialy LLC has been actively involved in government contracts for the construction and renovation of social infrastructure. In spring 2026, the company secured two major school overhaul contracts: one worth approximately 123.7 million rubles ($1.34 million) for the capital renovation of School No. 63 at 25B Enthusiasts Street, and another for around 124.2 million rubles ($1.35 million) to renovate School No. 86 at 22 Magistralnaya Street. Among its past projects was the completion of the main building for Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky in 2022, valued at roughly 151.35 million rubles ($1.64 million).
Despite reporting revenue of around 2 billion rubles ($21.7 million) in 2024, the company paid approximately 194.8 million rubles ($2.11 million) in taxes, according to its public financial statements.
Notably, in autumn 2025, representatives of Stroi Industriya LLC (Construction Industry) announced plans to pursue bankruptcy proceedings against the Omsk-based firm. However, as of April 1, 2026, no such claim has appeared in the records of the Omsk Region Arbitration Court.
