Russia's 'Strong Ideas' forum gathers 3,500 proposals for national progress

A nationwide forum aimed at shaping Russia’s future has seen a surge in participation. Since its launch on 15 May 2023, the 'Strong Ideas for a New Era' campaign has gathered over 3,500 proposals from 83 regions. More than 250 participants recently attended a session to discuss the most promising projects. The sixth edition of the forum kicked off with five key focus areas. Regions across Russia submitted ideas covering entrepreneurship, ecology, climate, social welfare, and technology. Bashkortostan emerged as a frontrunner in business, environmental, and climate initiatives, while Saratov Oblast led in social, human resources, and tech-based projects.

Magadan contributed nine distinct proposals. Among them were plans for morning workouts at the City Stadium under the 'Health Protection and Healthy Lifestyles' track. Other suggestions included a scheme for 'Financial Stability – A Dignified Future for Children' and improvements to housing access for wheelchair users. A proposal to establish a social support hub for families with children also came from the region. Education and business development were also highlighted. Magadan residents pushed for career guidance programmes in schools, encouraging students to create startups. The forum’s organisers aim to identify and roll out the most effective ideas to drive national progress.

The forum has already collected thousands of submissions in its first two weeks. Selected projects will now move forward for potential implementation. Organisers plan to turn the strongest proposals into actionable strategies for regional and national growth.
