RSPL Group celebrates 50 years of growth and innovation in India
RSPL Group has reached a major milestone by completing 50 years in business. What began as a small detergent manufacturer in Kanpur has now grown into a diversified conglomerate with a presence across multiple industries. The company was founded in 1974 by Muralidhar Gyanchandani and Bimal Kumar Gyanchandani. Their first product, Ghadi Detergent, marked the start of a business that would expand far beyond its original scope. Over the decades, RSPL has built a strong footprint in sectors like FMCG, personal care, dairy, chemicals, fashion, food and beverages, real estate, infrastructure, and renewable energy.
Today, RSPL operates more than 24 manufacturing plants and employs over 24,000 people. The group plays a key role in boosting domestic manufacturing while creating jobs across the country. To celebrate its golden jubilee, the company released a special short film narrated by actor Rajat Kapoor. Manoj Gyanchandani, Director of RSPL, credited the company’s success to its ability to adapt and innovate. He highlighted a long-standing commitment to sustainable growth as a driving force behind the milestone.
RSPL’s 50-year journey reflects its expansion from a single-product business to a diversified enterprise. The company continues to contribute to India’s economic and social progress through manufacturing, employment, and innovation. Its operations now span industries that impact daily life across the nation.
