Round Rock's Batya Porter Named Emerging Leader Finalist for Community Impact

Batya Porter, a Realtor and Property Tax Consultant at Horizon Realty, has been named a finalist for the Emerging Leader Award by the Round Rock Chamber of Commerce. The award highlights professionals who show strong leadership, community engagement, and dedication to the region. Winners will be announced on Thursday, February 5th, 2026.

Porter holds 12 professional real estate certifications and specialises in property tax consulting for both residential and commercial clients in Central Texas. Her expertise has earned her recognition in the local business community.

Since November 2024, she has been an active Round Rock Chamber Ambassador. In this role, she welcomes new members, supports events, and helps build trust among local businesses. Her involvement has played a key part in her professional development.

Beyond her work, Porter launched a program to provide snacks to five local elementary schools, addressing food insecurity among students. The initiative has since expanded, though exact numbers of additional schools supported remain undisclosed.

She joins two other finalists for the award: Lucia Murguia of Westwood Professional Services and Tanner O'Brien of ActionCOACH Central Texas.

The Emerging Leader Award celebrates professionals who contribute to both business growth and community welfare. Porter's work in real estate, tax consulting, and school support reflects her commitment to Central Texas. The final decision will be revealed at the Chamber's announcement event in February 2026.
