Rosberg Ventures Secures €100M Fund and Expands Direct Startup Investments

Rosberg Ventures has closed its third fund at €100 million, despite being oversubscribed by 1.4 times. The firm, founded by former Formula 1 champion Nico Rosberg, has also expanded its strategy to include direct investments in standout startups from its existing portfolio.

This shift allows the firm to back high-potential companies with individual tickets ranging from $2 million to $5 million.

The new strategy was introduced in autumn 2025, broadening the firm's approach beyond its original focus. Previously, Rosberg Ventures concentrated on linking European investors with global venture capitalists and startups. Now, it will also allocate capital directly to select companies within its network.

Early investments under this expanded model include ClickHouse and Fuse Energy. While no further 2026 investments have been publicly detailed, the firm's leadership has emphasised a commitment to supporting innovative businesses with strong growth prospects.

The decision to cap the fund at €100 million came despite high demand, ensuring a disciplined allocation of resources. This move reflects the firm's focus on quality over quantity in its investment choices.

With its third fund now closed, Rosberg Ventures is positioned to deepen its involvement in high-growth startups. The direct investment strategy, combined with its established network, aims to strengthen ties between European capital and global innovation. The firm's next steps will likely include further selections from its portfolio in the coming months.
