Revolut hits 500,000 users in Mexico just months after launch
British fintech Revolut has quickly gained over 500,000 customers in Mexico in less than six months. The company’s rapid growth follows its official launch in the country on 27 January 2026. A mix of global technology and a local banking license has driven this expansion. Revolut formally entered the Mexican market in late January, securing its own banking license to support operations. The company has since invested heavily, with a recent $64 million capital boost bringing its total Mexican investment to $167 million.
The fintech giant now processes over 500 million transactions monthly for retail and corporate clients worldwide. Its global valuation stands at $75 billion, with operations in 40 countries and more than 75 million users. Mexico plays a central role in Revolut’s international strategy. The company plans to roll out more digital tools and services for individuals and businesses in the coming months. Local leadership anticipates that digital banks will increasingly compete to become consumers’ main financial provider by 2026.
Revolut’s expansion in Mexico reflects its broader ambitions in Latin America. The company’s combination of technology, licensing, and investment has accelerated its growth. Further service launches are expected as it strengthens its position in the market.
