Parallels RAS 20 launches with deeper Microsoft 365 integration and cloud flexibility
Parallels RAS 20 has launched with new features for cloud-based desktop and application management. The latest version supports seamless integration with Microsoft 365, improving flexibility for businesses. It also offers enhanced security and cost controls for IT administrators.
The update allows users to access Microsoft 365 Cloud PCs through the Windows app. They can also run Parallels RAS-streamed applications directly on these cloud PCs. Local and cloud-hosted applications now appear side by side in the Parallels Client, creating a unified workspace.
Administrators gain better control over deployment and scaling. The platform supports applications hosted on Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or locally. Browser isolation on end devices adds an extra layer of security when accessing SaaS applications.
Reliability has improved with support for multiple availability zones on AWS. Hosts from the same RAS template image can now be distributed across different zones, reducing downtime risks. Purchasing is simpler too, with prepayment options available via the Azure Marketplace using Microsoft Azure Consumption Commitment (MACC).
Parallels RAS 20 strengthens integration with Microsoft 365 while offering more secure and flexible application access. The platform's new features help businesses streamline IT management and reduce operational risks. No official figures yet confirm how many organisations have adopted the solution since its release.
