Omsk's new modular sports arena to open by late 2026 with hockey rink

A contractor has been chosen to build a new rapid-deployment sports facility at the Olimpiets sports complex in Omsk, Russia. The project will cost approximately 170.397 million rubles. Altay-Tent LLC will handle the first phase of construction, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The facility will feature a modular and demountable design, allowing its length to be adjusted in increments matching the truss spacing. Its framework will use square tubing that meets GOST 13663-86 standards. Inside, a 30x60-metre hockey rink will be installed, along with 50-seat plastic bleachers and a hockey scoreboard.

The building will include essential utilities such as ventilation, heating, plumbing, sewage, and video surveillance systems. Access will be provided through a steel-door entrance and manually operated sectional gates. Altay-Tent LLC must also provide a 36-month warranty for all completed work.

The final deadline for delivering the entire project is set for the end of February 2027. The new sports facility will offer a fully equipped space for hockey and other activities. Its modular structure allows for flexibility in size and future adaptations. The project remains on schedule, with the first phase nearing completion by late 2026.
