New Ithaka Podcast Celebrates Global Hellenic Leaders and Their Journeys

A new monthly podcast, Ithaka: The Journey of Great Hellenes, has launched to celebrate the achievements of Greeks and philhellenes worldwide. Produced by The Hellenic Initiative (THI), a global nonprofit founded in 2012, the podcast series takes its name from the island of Ithaca, symbolizing personal growth and the journey toward self-discovery. Each episode explores the professional and personal stories of influential Greeks and philhellenes, highlighting their global impact and promoting Hellenic values like resilience and innovation.

The inaugural episode features an in-depth conversation with Andrew N. Liveris, THI co-founder and former CEO of Dow Chemical Company, about his career and the upcoming 2032 Brisbane Olympics. Hosted by George P. Stamas, the conversation touches on Liveris' commitment to Hellenic principles and his role in securing the Olympic Games for Brisbane.

New episodes will be available monthly across THI's digital platforms, aiming to inspire younger generations and reinforce a sense of shared heritage among Greeks worldwide. The podcast's debut marks a step in THI's broader mission to unite the Greek diaspora and philhellenes through storytelling, showcasing the influence of Hellenic culture on global leadership.
