Monterrey's Pulsar secures $8M to revolutionize factory productivity tools

Pulsar, a Monterrey-based startup specialising in productivity solutions for manufacturers, has secured $8 million in its latest funding round. The investment was led by Cometa, a Mexico City venture capital firm focused on early-stage technology companies across Spanish-speaking markets.

The funds will help Pulsar expand its real-time monitoring tools, which aim to boost production efficiency and reduce downtime for small and medium-sized factories. Founded in 2020 by Matias Castillo, Cristian Bartolomé, and Juan Cristobal Ruiz-Tagle, Pulsar provides data-driven optimisation for manufacturing plants. Its platform tracks production metrics in real time, helping businesses improve output and cut unnecessary stops. The company already works with major firms in Mexico, including Femsa, Sigma, Gruma, Deacero, and Cemex.

Beyond Mexico, Pulsar supports multiple plants across the United States, though the exact number of international clients remains undisclosed. The latest funding round saw participation from Seaya Cathay Latam, Kayyak Ventures, and Arca Ventures alongside lead investor Cometa.

Cometa, established in 2012, typically backs early-stage tech startups in fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, and mobile sectors. This investment aligns with its strategy of supporting innovative solutions in Spanish-speaking regions. The $8 million injection will allow Pulsar to refine its technology and reach more manufacturers. With a growing client base in Mexico and the US, the startup aims to strengthen its position in industrial productivity tools. The backing from Cometa and other investors signals confidence in its data-driven approach to manufacturing efficiency.
