Moliane's Bold Expansion: From Artisan Roots to €8M Retail Ambition
Spanish fashion brand Moliane is expanding its retail presence as part of a bold growth strategy. The company, which began as a small artisanal project in Barcelona, now aims to increase its revenue from €2 million in 2025 to €3.5 million in 2026. By 2029, it projects reaching €8 million in gross sales.
To support this ambition, Moliane is rebranding to reflect a more professional and cohesive identity. The move comes at a key moment in the company's development, signalling greater clarity and ambition for the future.
Moliane's expansion plans include a stronger foothold in major department stores. In March, the brand will open two shop-in-shop locations in Madrid and Málaga. This builds on its existing network of around 20 retail points within El Corte Inglés.
Beyond department stores, the company is also investing in standalone locations. A flagship store is set to open in a 'strategic city', with a target of five company-owned stores across Spain by 2029. The shift from artisanal roots to a structured retail approach marks a significant change in direction.
Internationally, Moliane is focusing on Europe for growth. Priority markets include Benelux, France, Italy, and Greece, though specific details on physical expansion remain limited. The brand is also exploring selective opportunities in the U.S., though its primary efforts centre on European development.
Moliane's rebranding and retail push come as the company seeks to double its revenue within four years. With new stores, department store partnerships, and a clearer brand identity, the business is positioning itself for steady growth. The focus remains on strengthening its presence in Spain while carefully expanding into key European markets.
