Milan's A-Cube raises €4M to revolutionize digital tax compliance with AI

A-Cube, a Milan-based startup specialising in digital tax technology, has secured €4 million in its latest funding round. The investment comes as new EU tax rules push companies towards real-time reporting and electronic invoicing. The firm plans to expand its platform with AI-driven tools to handle financial and operational workflows beyond basic compliance. The funding round was led by P101 SGR, with additional support from Sella Direct Ventures. Giuseppe Donvito, a partner at P101, highlighted the rapid growth of electronic invoicing, predicting that 90% of European businesses will adopt it by 2030. This shift could create a market worth over €20 billion.

A-Cube’s platform already processes more than 70 million invoices annually for over 450 clients across 10 countries. The company helps businesses manage digital tax documents, including e-invoicing and real-time reporting. Antonino Caccamo, co-founder and CTO, noted that the investment coincides with major changes in global taxation, particularly the EU’s VAT in the Digital Age (VIDA) directive.

The new funds will go towards enhancing the platform’s capabilities. A-Cube aims to integrate AI to automate financial, tax, and operational tasks, moving beyond traditional compliance solutions. The goal is to provide a broader technology layer for businesses adapting to stricter tax regulations. The €4 million investment will help A-Cube scale its operations and refine its AI tools. With real-time tax reporting becoming mandatory, the company’s platform is set to play a key role in helping businesses comply efficiently. The expansion comes as electronic invoicing adoption accelerates across Europe.
