MicroStrategy's Bitcoin buying spree accelerates as STRC fund surges for four days
MicroStrategy (MSTR) has ramped up its Bitcoin accumulation despite recent market turbulence. The company's latest purchases come as its perpetual fund index, STRC, hits a four-day winning streak. This surge in trading activity has allowed MSTR to acquire thousands of BTC in just a week.
STRC, Strategy's perpetual fund index, has climbed for four consecutive days, reclaiming the $100 level. This milestone matters because the yield from STRC shares directly funds Bitcoin purchases, fueling MSTR's broader accumulation strategy. Over the past five trading days, STRC recorded a trading volume of $780 million, enabling MSTR to add 4,277 BTC to its reserves.
On 02 March alone, MSTR acquired over 3,000 BTC, reinforcing its commitment to expanding its Bitcoin holdings. The company's aggressive buying spree has continued even as its stock fell by roughly 10% in under 72 hours, mirroring Bitcoin's nearly 7% correction during the same period.
STRC also raised its dividend from 11.25% to 11.5%, a move that has bolstered investor confidence. Projections now suggest MSTR could hold up to 8,000 BTC by Monday, marking a near 90% increase in its recent accumulation. Strong trading momentum in STRC may further help MSTR support Bitcoin amid growing macroeconomic uncertainty.
Among MSTR's top institutional shareholders, Vanguard holds the largest stake at 8.12%. This backing adds weight to the company's strategy as it continues to expand its crypto holdings.
MSTR's Bitcoin reserves are set to grow significantly by the start of next week. The company's ability to accumulate BTC at scale relies heavily on STRC's performance and trading volumes. With institutional support and a rising dividend, the strategy appears positioned to weather ongoing market fluctuations.
