Meta unveils AI-powered smart glasses and a conversation-summarizing pendant by 2026
Meta is expanding its wearable technology range with new smart glasses and an AI-powered pendant. The company plans to release four new glasses models by the end of 2026. It is also testing a device that records conversations for AI-generated summaries. The four upcoming smart glasses include the RMB2 Refresh, a refreshed Ray-Ban model, and three others with codenames: Modelo, Luna, and Mojito VIP. Details about these newer designs remain unclear, but Meta aims to launch them all before 2027.
Meta is also developing an AI pendant that listens to daily conversations and creates summaries. This follows its recent purchase of Limitless, a startup that previously built a similar device. The acquisition suggests Meta is pushing further into AI-assisted wearables.
In addition, the company is exploring a subscription service called ‘Wearables for Work’. This enterprise-focused offering would likely provide businesses with access to its smart glasses and AI tools. The new devices mark Meta’s continued push into AI-driven wearables. The pendant and subscription service could expand its reach beyond consumer tech. All four glasses models are expected to arrive by late 2026.
