Magadan celebrated Entrepreneur’s Day with a ceremony at the City Duma to honour local business leaders. The event recognised both established companies and individual entrepreneurs for their contributions to the region’s economy. Awards were presented across multiple categories, highlighting the city’s thriving small and medium-sized business sector. The ceremony brought together nearly 6,000 registered entrepreneurs from Magadan, the capital of the Kolyma region. Mayor Larisa Polikanova opened the event by thanking business owners for their role in the city’s growth. Grigory Chub, the region’s Business Rights Commissioner, also spoke, praising the determination and resilience of Magadan’s business community.

Awards were given to leading figures in the local economy. Among the recipients were Maksim Goryaev of PJSC Magadan Commercial Sea Port, Kirill Ettenko of LLC Arbuz, and Radik Tantsikuzhin of JSC Pavlik. Others honoured included Yevgeny Bogomolov of LLC EAL Company, Rustam Guliyev of LLC First Transport Company, Zoya Polozova of LLC Wild North, and Alexey Aksyonov of LLC Vostokburvod.

The event also recognised individual entrepreneurs, including Nikita Vitrenko, Vladislav Bulychev, Ilona Bogush, Olga Boiko, Roman Krivoshlyk, Yulia Mikulchik, Gunay Salimova, Rinat Sokiryaka, Yulia Tretiakova, and Natalya Shakura. Additionally, Yury Agafonov, head of the local Delovaya Rossiya branch, presented awards to participants in the 'History of Russian Entrepreneurship' Olympiad—a long-running project launched in 2015 by Business Russia and the Russian Historical Society.

The ceremony also marked the conclusion of the 'Best Entrepreneur of Magadan' competition, which aimed to spotlight successful small and medium-sized businesses in the region. The awards highlighted the diversity and strength of Magadan’s business sector. From large companies to individual entrepreneurs, the event showcased those driving economic progress in the Kolyma region.
