Lululemon enters strength training with 'Unrestricted Power' and Lewis Hamilton

Lululemon is expanding into strength training with its new 'Unrestricted Power' collection. The line targets gym-goers and weightlifters, featuring durable fabrics and performance-focused designs. The brand has also partnered with seven-time Formula 1 champion Lewis Hamilton to promote the range.

The collection's core is a new fabric called 'PowerLu', built for high abrasion resistance. It supports heavy lifting and intense workouts without wearing down quickly. The initial launch includes women's tights and men's shorts, both tailored for strength training.

The rollout begins in North America before reaching Europe, Asia-Pacific, and mainland China by 2026. Lululemon's shares remained stable at $180.71, following a 24% rise over the past week. The company aims to dominate gym floors and weight rooms with this specialised line.

The 'Unrestricted Power' platform marks Lululemon's push into strength-focused apparel. With Hamilton as an ambassador and a phased global release, the brand is targeting a broader fitness audience. The collection's durability and performance features set it apart in the activewear market.
