Layne's Chicken Fingers Plans 44 New Texas Locations in Major Expansion
Layne's Chicken Fingers has agreed a major expansion deal in Texas. The chain, which began as a small shop in College Station, will open 44 new locations across the state. The company signed the agreement with Eli Cohen, a developer with experience in real estate and restaurants. The new branches will cover West Texas, San Antonio, and the Coastal Bend region.
At least two restaurants are confirmed for Lubbock, with plans for a possible third. CEO Garrett Reed called the deal a key step towards full market coverage in Texas. The franchise model will balance structure with local flexibility.
Texas is now over 90% sold out for Layne’s locations. Only El Paso and a few smaller areas remain open for further growth. The expansion will bring the chain closer to its goal of full Texas market saturation. The first new sites in Lubbock and other regions are expected to open under the agreed franchise terms.
